Two procedures of Ministry of Health to be piloted on NSW

The General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) has instructed local customs departments about the implementation of these procedures via the NSW.

The two procedures to be piloted include: fast issuance of free-sale registration numbers for medical equipment; expanding permit for circulation of medical equipment of which owners stop operation, go bankrupt or dissolve.

As of November 15, 235 administrative procedures of 13 ministries and government agencies have been officially connected to the NSW with about 4.2 million dossiers of 51,000 businesses.

The two procedures will be officially implemented on the NSW from January 28, 2022.

The registration numbers issued by the Ministry of Health before December 27 in the paper form will continue to be valid.

The registration numbers issued by the Ministry of Health from December 27, 2021 onward in a paper form and without electronic copies issued via the NSW will continue to be valid until the invalidity.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs proposed that the Customs Departments of provinces and cities decentralize the use of searching function for results issued by the Ministry of Health for the two administrative procedures mentioned above on the customs electronic information processing system (E Customs) for customs officers.

Customs officers at local customs branches are required to access the e-customs system to search and use the results issued by the Ministry of Health for the two administrative procedures when carrying out customs procedures and not to request businesses to present paper file for registration numbers of these procedures if those are issued via the NSW.
